Hello!
I am still shocked when I think back to two years ago in October. My wife and I (and our new baby boy!) just received the first shipment of 3,000 pairs of The Shoe That Grows. We stacked them floor-to-ceiling in the guest bedroom of our house. We were all smiles as we finally had shoes to begin to get out to kids around the world through our friends going on trips.
But we never could have expected what would happen in the next two years. Fast forward to today:
-- Over 60,000 pairs distributed in over 80 countries
-- Awesome design changes to make The Shoe That Grows even better
-- Beginning to produce the shoes in Ethiopia (and soon Haiti!)
-- An incredible 5 full-time team members, dozens of volunteers, and thousands of supporters around the world
It seems like each quarter, month, week, and even DAY is filled with new opportunities to impact kids challenged by extreme poverty. And that is ultimately what continues to drive our passion: practical compassion for kids who need it most. Simple. No red tape. Making things better by making better things - innovative products to help kids.
Can't wait to see what the next two years hold.
