We’d love to give you an inside look at who’s working in the Because International office. Below are some Q&A’s with our President, Andrew!

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Oregon until 2nd grade, and ever since I’ve lived in little Nampa, Idaho.
What brought you to Because International?
My good friend Kenton Lee called me up after getting back from living abroad and told me about this crazy idea he had of a shoe that could growg
When did you start working at Because?
I served as a board member from the inception of the organization up until May of 2015 when I came on full-time
What is another organization you'd like to work with for one week?
I love the innovative work that PATH is doing
Have you ever worn the shoe?
I wear a size 15, so never thought I would. But we got a small shipment of “Adult” size shoes that turned out waaayyy too big. But luckily for me I was able to kind of make them fit for a day.
What's the best concert you've ever been to?
Not much of a concert guy, but probably the Lumineers at a small venue in Boise
What do you like to do in your free time?
I went to Northwest Nazarene University and played on the golf team there, so used to golf a lot in my free time. Now I have 3 kids and another on the way, so family is my free time.
Where did you go to school?
I went to Northwest Nazarene University.
Who's your favorite athletic team?
Boise State Football, it’s all we got here in Idaho.
What's your favorite part about working for Because?
Setting huge goals, usually falling short, but sometimes hitting them and being amazed
What's your favorite memory in the office?
When I ate meatloaf and learned Abbie can’t handle the smell of meatloaf.
Where can people find you on your lunch break?
Eating lunch at my desk?
If you could describe the perfect vacation, where would you be?
Childless….anywhere
